Who holds your medical record, and who holds your email address

Two different organisations hold two different things. Knowing which is which tells you who to ask for what.

Note

A clinician has not reviewed this page yet. It describes how our service and its pricing work; it is not medical advice, and whether any treatment is appropriate is a decision for the clinician reviewing your case.

Who holds your medical records in a telehealth weight-management service?

At TRD Labs a licensed clinical partner employs the clinicians, conducts the medical intake, makes the clinical decisions and holds the clinical record; TRD Labs holds the plan, the payment, the shipping updates and a reference to the case rather than a copy of its contents.

Requests for orders, receipts, messages and deletion of the data TRD Labs holds go to TRD Labs; a request for the medical record goes to the clinical partner.

Health information is never used for advertising, and no advertising or analytics script runs on the quiz, intake, checkout or portal.

The split

A licensed clinical partner employs the clinicians, conducts the medical intake, makes the clinical decisions and holds the clinical record. We handle the plan, the payment, the shipping updates and the reminders.

The practical consequence: your intake answers, your diagnoses and your prescriptions live with the clinical partner. We hold a reference to your case and its lifecycle status, not a copy of its contents.

Why it is built this way

Because the alternative is a marketing company with a database of medical records. Holding the minimum means that a mistake on our side cannot expose a clinical history we never had.

What this means for your requests

Ask us for your orders, receipts, messages and the data we hold, and to delete it. Ask the clinical partner for your medical record; we will give you the link rather than pretend we can retrieve it.

We never use health information for advertising, and no advertising or analytics script runs on the quiz, intake, checkout or portal.

Questions, answered.

Do you have my medical records?

No. The clinical partner holds the clinical record. We hold a reference to your case and its status, not its contents.

Can I get my data deleted?

Yes, from your account. The request covers what we hold; your clinical record is requested from the clinical partner and we will link you to it.

Is my health information used for advertising?

No. No advertising or analytics script runs on the quiz, intake, checkout or portal, and health answers never reach an advertising platform.
