Ten questions to ask any provider before you pay
This page describes how our service and its pricing work and makes no clinical statement, so it carries no clinical review. Last updated 2026-10-07.
What should you ask a telehealth weight-management provider before paying?
The most useful question is what amount is charged on the day of signup, because it is the hardest one to answer vaguely. Then: the three-month total, whether medication is included or billed separately by the pharmacy, and what month two costs.
On the clinical side: whether payment is taken before or after a clinician decides, what is refunded if a clinician declines and whether any part is kept, and who holds the medical record.
On leaving: how cancellation works, whether it can be done without speaking to anyone, and whether the cancellation page can be read before paying.
Cost
What amount is charged on the day I sign up? What is the total across three months? Is medication included or will a pharmacy bill me separately? What does month two cost?
A provider who answers all four in a sentence each is telling you their pricing is simple. Length of answer is itself information.
The clinical decision
Am I charged before or after a clinician decides? If a clinician declines, what is refunded and is any part kept? Who holds my medical record?
Getting out
How do I cancel, and can I do it without talking to anyone? What happens to a charge that was already scheduled? Can I see the cancellation page before I pay?
Our answers
Charged today and three-month total are both on the checkout screen. Medication is included; no separate pharmacy invoice. Month two costs what month one costs. Payment is captured after approval. Nothing is kept if a clinician declines. The clinical partner holds the medical record. Cancelling is two taps with no call, and a scheduled charge is blocked automatically. The cancellation page is public and linked from the footer.
Questions
- What is the single most useful question?
- What amount leaves my account on the day I sign up? It is the one number that is hardest to answer vaguely.
- What does a bad answer look like?
- A long one. If a pricing or cancellation answer needs three paragraphs, the length is the answer.
